 I have been working in web design and ecommerce for over 10 years now so i am no stranger to Photoshop, I am way to messy to even think about working with an actual darkroom, working with paints and canvases in college had proved that. Ive been taking Infrared photos for almost the same amount of time that ive had a digital slr. I firsly started experimenting with a Olympus Camedia 2020 which although was only a few megapixels, was able to take IR shots straight from the camera. I then converted a Nikon coolpix 5400 using a filter that I bought from the US. This was the tipping point and ive been addicted ever since. I use a converted Canon 450D and an 5Dmk2 with a filter over the lens. I do take full colour images and like experimenting with techniques such as High Dynamic Range. Recently I have been concentrating on portfolios and small bodies of work which allow me to tell a story or create a specific mood. projects.darkoptics.net will be coming soon... |
