Echoes for company is a set of prints taken in abandoned spaces, each with their own individual stories. I wanted these pieces to be
more art than photograpy. The base is spray painted, scratched and almost battered to give each piece a real urban feel as well as being totally unique.
This project was created from 4 days spent within the 30km exclusion zone around the Chernobyl power station, the cause of the 1986 nuclear disaster.
The nearby city of Pripyat was abandoned in a matter of days afterwards and left to mother nature as well as looters and vandals.
An infrared converted DSLR was used to give a new view to the city and the resulting photographs have a raw and gritty feel as well as an altogether otherworldly appearance.
